Tiger called it quits after a 42 front nine. Is the Sean Foley instruction team soon to follow? Is the instruction method contributing to the added stress on the left leg from stacking? What do you think?

He had surgery on that left leg a few times already and injured it long before "stacking" when he swung "conventional". I think he didn't give it sufficient time to heal after hurting it at the Masters and he's going to have problems with this till he retires, which could be sooner than later.
Who know's about Foley, personally I think Tiger is stubborn and will keep on with it just for no other reason than to prove people wrong, but I don't like the direction Tiger is going in.

I think if he's injured it again, he's got major issues. In all of my experience with golf, I don't know many people who have injured their knee playing golf. I had a college teammate who was home in Michigan and was hitting a shot off a steep hill and slipped and tore his ACL. It took him a good 2 years to recover, but he never had any issue after that. Most injuries I see in golf are wrist or shoulder related.
So for Tiger to have repeated issues with the knee concerns me. And like namj said, this all started years ago when he had a 'conventional' swing, yet nobody is ripping into Harmon or Haney...just ripping into Foley for being 'too technical.'
Go figure.

Yes he hurt the knee way before Foley but everyone looks at the current situation and grabs on to the SnT as exacerbating the problem. At least that's what I have heard. I personally don't think that's the case. I am sure Tiger will sort through his problems and return to playing much better once this knee issue is resolved. Could take years though.

He supposedly re-injured it at Augusta when hitting off of pinestraw. To me, I would think the knee would be able to handle that. Football players recover from that type of injury and usually need somebody to hit them or roll up on their leg for them to re-injure it. So for a golfer to re-injure it by simply hitting off of pinestraw...just seems like it's very frail to me.

May not see Tiger for a while. Could be another operation.

Could be much more serious problem but the docs said it was not. We will see. Rand

I thought the bigger issue is his Achilles tendon?

Very well could be his Achilles tendon but regardless at 35+ recovery is going to be much tougher and longer.

Rocco said on ESPN today it's the stacking... just look on video he said. He's definitely blaming SnT moves for aggravating the problems with the left knew and tendon.
