Jeff - I sent this (slightly redacted) to you as a PM over at R3J's site but not sure if you got it. No worries if you don't want to reply
1. when you say that the left wrist should cock up ~90 degrees, i can't really do that as i'm only getting to 110 degrees or so. is that close enough?
2. i have issues keeping the the club in the bottom three fingers of the left hand and i feel that i grip the club too much with my index finger
- when i do it correctly, it almost feels that i'm trying to bend the club grip in half with the fulcrum point at PP#1. does that make sense?
- is there a biomechanical problem with taking the left index finger off of the grip to purely rely on the bottom three finger? its like an interlocking grip but the left finger rests on top of the right pinkie/ring finger
3. your short thumb section is very helpful. when you discuss the number of fingers from the left index finger's MP joint, i'm having a hard time understanding that. I think that the MP joint is the one connecting the finger to the palm (ie, the knuckles that we count when looking at weak/neutral/strong grips), but wouldn't it be easier to use the next joint furthest away from the palm as that is almost directly across from the thumb? its hard to tell in the pictures because the angle of the camera has a significant impact.
4. LAFW - if i use the Smart Stick and keep the shorter perpendicular arm flush against the inside of my left forearm, does that definitionally mean that I am keeping a LAFW?
5. you mention that in the martin hall pictures that he is keeping the clubface of the inclined plane but i couldn't tell where the inclined plane is from the pictures. not that i disagree but i wasn't sure that it was supposed to be apparent in the pictures.
6. rotation of the left forearm - to keep on the inclined plane, should i think that my watchface (ie, the left forearm) should be on that inclined plane? i think that I overpronate my left forearm so that my watch is facing the sky.
I recognize that this is a long list and would completely understand if you didn't replay at all but perhaps it can give you some feedback on your excellent rewrite. Also, thanks for all your insights - i enjoy many of your posts.
