CD is correct to question BM's idiotic "pull the grip off the club" teaching ideology.
However, CD is clueless when it comes to understanding what moves the grip end of the clubshaft during the downswing and early followthrough swing action.
CD posted this swing video of Lexi Thompson.
Here are capture images of Lexi through impact.
This series of images demonstrates a prototypical handle-dragger's DH-hand release action appearance - where the left wrist is flat through impact and where the right wrist remains bent, and where the hands are ahead of the clubhead at P7.2.
CD foolishly claims-: "I believe this swing best exemplifies a straight pushing action". How does he know whether this a pushing action versus a pulling action?
Jeffy then foolishly implies that a pushing swing style doesn't exist when he stated-: "However, nobody, as in NOBODY, ever talked about "pushing the handle through", not even Brian Manzella at the two schools I attended.". CD then partly sympathized with Jeffy when he replied-: "It is ridiculous that he keeps shouting about teaching that doesn't exist (i.e., push only). He never, ever provides pictures or videos of what this push style of teaching looks like despite repeated demands for well over two years. Why not? Well maybe this push only teaching doesn't exist or if it does, it looks like Lexi above (who he touts as a perfect example of his normal pattern)."
Just because Jeffy and CS are TGM-illiterate doesn't mean that a pushing style doesn't exist. It is also impossible to discern whether Lexi is pulling-or-pushing in that particular swing action by simple observation of capture images from a swing video.
Those Lexi images are fully compatible with a i) TGM swinger's action that is accompanied by an active right arm straightening action, but they are also fully compatible with a ii) right arm swinging action (which is a pushing swing technique) or a iii) right arm hitting action (which is also a pushing swing technique).
If CD and Jeffy were TGM-literate, then they would realize that they could easily mimic Lexi's hand release action using any of those three swing techniques.
