Been practising large amounts over the last year, starting to get more regular knee pain. Did actually have a few minor problems before i took up golf nearly two years ago so not directly due to my swing.
Was wondering what time of common faults in the golf swing tend to put more pressure on the knee and how i can help it.
I am a personal trainer so understand the body to a degree but dont understand the bio mechanics of the weight transfer to well and realise this could be a key area for me to look at.
Is there anyone that can help me with tips or good drills for learning the lower body movements in the golf swing to make sure its not bad tecnhique causing me pain.
Any help will be well recieved

You might be 'snapping' the knee coming into impact quite hard. So into impact the left knee may be locked and that could put some pressure on that knee.
I'd also look at how you walk. If you walk with that foot flared out, that will put a lot of pressure and pain on your knee. I had the same problem years ago and my chiropractor who was also a physical therapist, had me start paying attention to my right foot being flared out when I was walking or running. That alone got my knee feeling better.

I did wonder if i was snapping the knee on impact, ive tried flaring and foot out a touch and it seems to have eased the pain after practise.
Rohlio gave me some advice on the weight transfer which i think has helped alot too.
Think you hit the nail on the head though rich with the snapping, maybe should learn the hit at 85% not the full kamikaze
