Consider this GolfWRX thread.
The question was whether the shoulders should be square at impact.
One forum member wrote-: "I believe that you could achieve square shoulders at impact with a straight left arm and bent right arm, if your shoulders were tilted upward (left higher than the right for a RH golfer), but square to the target line. That doesn't make it right (or wrong), but it would be doable, I think."
Do you agree that it is possible and also biomechanically natural?
Jeff.

It all depends on how much a player bends laterally in the downswing. Why don't we look at some pictures? From Kelvin's third article on the shoulders: Chris Tidland has very little lateral bend, so his shoullders are catching up to the hips at impact, which is what his teacher, Jim Hardy, advocates: G-Mac and Dustin Johnson create a lot of lateral bend that maintains more of the separation of the hips and shoulders that was created in the backswing: Tiger old and new gets a good amount of lateral bend and his shoulders are pretty square at impact:

Right shoulder drops more vertically = lateral bend? I would say lateral bend (cause) = right shoulder drops more vertically (effect).

How would a person just taking up the game react after reading this thread? Positively? Negatively?

How would a person just taking up the game react after reading this thread? Positively? Negatively? Rand I think the "Newton" part of anything related with golf would scare away a beginner. GWX is good for beginners though.
