When Swinging, one is using the pivot/body to blast off the left-arm. So a lot of big muscles are used and I have to pivot quite fast to get the arms running. With Hitting one uses the right upper-arm (triceps). The pivot makes (only) way so the right-arm can use its force to move the club into impact. The pivot is slow and I only do it to make way. When I use both techniques the distances are quite the same. What keeps bothering me is that the relative small right arm muscle in hitting equals all the big muscles in swinging? Does anyone has some thoughts about this, thanks

I think that it is a fallacy to believe that a hitter only uses the release of PA#1 (via a right triceps muscle contraction) to power his swing. He invariably, although often unconsciously, uses either an active pivot action to release PA#4 before he releases PA#1 (4-barrel TGM hitting) or he releases PA#5 (using right shoulder girdle muscles) before he releases PA#1 (non-TGM hitting). See - perfectgolfswingreview.net/powermechanics.htmJeff.

There is no doubt that Jeff's information is very well done........even if he drives me nuts from time to time.
