Dr Mann Have you ever seen this video or the attached pdf? Professor Grober claims that PGA golfers have developed a 'biomechanical clock' allowing them to swing 'resonantly' like a harmonic oscillator (like a winded up non-linear spring). He does address the question put to him at 37:59 which I assume disputes any spring-like qualities in the human body. But then he claims really great golfers have learned to drive their golf swing with the resonant frequency of their torso/arms/hands. If the integrity of his research data is deemed valid does this mean we will all have different optimal swing mechanics based on the relative resonant frequencies of our unique body segments (ie. differing timing and sequencing for the release of PA4 , PA1, PA2, PA3)? But he never explains 'How' we discover and swing at these resonant frequencies other than quoting 'Zen Golf' (or maybe purchasing his electronic training aids using sound effects). Is this yet another example of junk golf science? DB

There is no doubt that the golf club moves in a rhythmic manner in skilled pro golfers - due to a perfected release of PA#4 => PA#2 => PA#3. However, RG knows nothing about golf swing biomechanics and TGM mechanics that allows him to explain how a golfer should practically learn how to perform optimum golf swing biomechanics and TGM mechanics. Jeff.
