Dr Mann When one looks at Erik Barzeski's you-tube video , doesn't it demonstrate that palmar flexion late in the downswing causes the clubface to just deloft rather than changing the clubface path so that it's more open to the ball-target line (ie. approaching impact from a more inside path)? DG Yes - but that happens because he has some passive/unconscious forearm rotation happening simultaneously that keeps the clubface square during the lead wrist palmar flexion maneuver. Also, the demo is "artificial" because he has the clubhead constantly grounded while he creates a a bowed lead wrist scenario by pulling his lead arm targetwards while preventing the clubhead from moving.
