Here is the latest BBG video featuring Mike Malaska.
I presume that Brendon features Mike frequently on his BBG channel for financially mercenary reasons, because he knows that MM has a large partisan following. That makes it difficult to know whether Brendon is simply acting stupidly when he follows MM's instructions or whether he is truly ignorant regarding basic/fundamentally sound golf swing biomechanical principles.
In this video, Brendon acts like he does not know how to correctly take the club back during his takeaway from P1 => P2. MM instructs him to keep the clubshaft outside his hands during the takeaway, and then steepen the clubshaft between P2 => P3 so that an imaginary line drawn out from the butt end of the club points inside the ball-target line at P3, and he instructs Brendon to then complete the clubshaft motion by looping the club (in a counterclockwise manner) to its final P4 positional alignment.
That's a sub-optimum approach, which can obviously work (eg. Matthew Wolff and Lee Trevino golf swing actions), but it is so much more sensible to use the intact LFFW swing technique and an on-plane swing action - as demonstrated by Brendon in the following video.
Here are capture images of Brendon's intact LFFW swing technique that is combined with an on-plane clubshaft motion between P1 => P4.

Image 1 is at address. The red line that is drawn along his original shaft plane at address represents his hand plane. The green line drawn through his trail elbow represents the elbow plane. The blue line represents the turned shoulder plane (TSP) and it is drawn from the ball to the trail shoulder at P4.
Image 2 is at P1.3 and image 3 is at P1.8 - note that his hands and the clubshaft are moving along the hand plane between P1 => P2, and there is no attempt to move the clubshaft outwards (in a looping manner as prescribed by MM).
Between P2 => P3, he is steepening the clubshaft to the elbow plane, but the clubshaft is continuously on-plane at every instantaneous moment between P1 => P3. The clubshaft should remain continuously on-plane between P3 => P4 when it finally reaches the TSP by P4.
There is no looping motion of the clubshaft between P1 => P4.
It is so elementary to learn how to perform this takeaway action correctly by practicing with a plane board.
Here is Martin Hall teaching the teenage-aged Morgan Pressel how to swing on-plane.
The plastic plane board is adjustable so it can be tilted to be equal to MP's hand plane.
In image 1, she is at address with her clubshaft lying against the surface of the plane board. Her clubshaft has an inbuilt laser light and its green light is pointing at the ball-target line at address.
In image 2, she is at P1.5. Her clubshaft is still lying against the plastic plane board, and therefore she is still on-plane.
In image 3, she is at P2 with her clubshaft lying flat against the plastic plane board.
Brendon obviously knows to perform this on-plane takeaway action and I do not clearly know why he chooses to act like an uninformed golfer in his latest BBG video.
