Wonder if any caught the debate between Manzella and Dr Mann and what were your thoughts on the verdict.
Just an opinion , I thought Dr Mann held his own even though the other side were most likely calling him goofy. Thats normal over there because anyone who disagrees with anything Manzella says is a goofball and are part of goofy mobs.
Funny thing is a guy has popped up called Steve , used to post under name of Horton and a few other ones after he got banned , and just some of the archive stuff is just beautiful.
Here is one of my favorites of manzella , part of a classic selection of all time big hits
This ENDS all the DRIVER hits up or down debate! Below are pics of the CURRENT World's Longest Driver Champion.
David Mobley.
Tom Bartlett knows him for the Hooter's Tour where both played for a score and went head to head in LD competition.
So...the guy can PLAY golf too....(Not like some of these gorillas).
This is it. You hit down on it. Period. The lines drawn on pic one are PRECISE and the LOW POINT LINE is as FAR B-A-C-K as it could humanly possibly be.
There is no debate.
But...here is what the GOOFY hit up on it crowd will say anyway (I'll save them the time)....
"He MAY have the shaft leaning forward but he could still; be hitting up on it. You need a launch monitor to tell for sure."
Bull****!
No chance. Anyone with a brain and a compass could see he would break the shaft trying to drop kick it.
"It isn't OPTIMIUM. The launch monitors say..."
Bull****!
This guy BEAT all of those guys. Soon, they'll all figure out how to pick a DRIVER THAT FITS and they'll hit down TOO
Seriously this is just beautiful

At least he changed when it was shown to be incorrect and that's better than trying to stick with something that is shown to be wrong. Hey! we all make mistakes some can admit them and change and some can't. You know the earth is round now, how did that happen when it was flat for so long? ...lol.

I agree with wedgey. Nobody had all the answers in 2003 and nobody does today. At least Manzella is willing to admit he was mistaken and can adapt his teaching when new evidence comes to light.
I also agree that the Horton posts about TGM from the archives are hilarious.

You miss the point wedgey , old Horton was bagged pillar to post, 5 years ago , burnt at the stake and all and a bunch of years later AFTER learning some OLD science it turns out the goofy guy was correct . What's more is he claims he is always ahead of the curve so to speak , and constantly derides snt , morad and other swing theories yet doesn't understand or have knowledge of the patterns.
If he did he would know how Morad prescribes how to hit a CP draw or a CF draw , which fits perfectly into ballflight monitor gismos, and laws, and all that figured out without any gismos umpteen years ago, now how does that make him ahead of any curve

Yeah you always have to be careful when drawing conclusions from incomplete or incorrect science. Today's truth can turn out to be tomorrow's BS.
What's worse is when you hang on to BS even in the face incontrovertible evidence to the contrary.

Everyone with a method likes to think their's is correct and if "done right" it's the cats meow, but in reality they all suffer from the same thing, they don't fit everyone. So it's kind of funny all this bickering about something no one can really lay claim to and never will. They can try, but there's always someone claiming to have a better mouse trap just around the corner. JMO. Oh i found Steve T's alias Horton's post... Centripetal and centrifugal are kinetic concepts, NOT applicable to the descriptive positional geometry definitions you provide. Whoever supplied you with these definitions, gets a couple of big fat "FF"s ... F. Failure..!!!! Another example of no great scientific minds in golf .. but it really doesn't matter because the recipients of this crap don't know any better ...!!!!

Well yes , problem being that the terms of Morad were defined by another misinformed poster calling them release types rather than baseline plane and actually there are 3 , the other is called "Inline", but generally many golf swing definitions may lack actual science

Things change but things stay the same. the BM was wrong then and the BM is wrong now... (he just doesn't know it yet and is too arrogant to listen ... to anyone other than is hand picked so called experts who say only that which he wants to hear, that is) The real problem is that the man who professes to be so darn smart is ignorant of the subject matter he wishes to claim expertise in. He needs at least four more years in college this time in physics or engineering not internet marketing. Frankly I doubt he could survive the first year. Horton is a hoot... a real out of place gadfly over there yet in the end he's no different than the mandrin... willing to brown nosing in order to retain his posting privileges. I can't respect a brown noser. What happened to that guy who was telling it like it is? I suppose all traces of him have been wiped clean by now. That was a riot! You were one of my all time favorites as well NM, the la mancha stuff was just beautiful

Plenty were telling the BM he was full of brown stinky stuff back in '03... he refused to listen. When he got is own marketing room ... er forum... and people told him he was full of brown stinky stuff... he evicted them Now he's enlightened? A true truth seeker? excuse me while I ROFLMAO I liked this part the most " This is it. You hit down on it. Period. The lines drawn on pic one are PRECISE and the LOW POINT LINE is as FAR B-A-C-K as it could humanly possibly be. There is no debate." line drawers are now criminals

Don't recall the moniker... it was a couple of months back? The guy just tore him a new one. Honestly I'm surprised the post(s) even saw the light of day. Has the BM turned a new leaf and decided to pretend he's not an authoritarian control freak or something? Which guy was that? By the way your sounding bitter, eat a sour apple?... lol. just kidding. I don't know, he doesn't seem to post that much from what i have read, Horton aka Steve T is in there a lot, it's really kind of boring there i bet the early days were a lot more fun. Hey! what ever happened to that Mandrin guy, he never posts anymore.
