Teeace (Tapio) demonstrates his lack of knowledge of TGM mechanics when he states that there is no such thing as a "plane" in a golf swing. See this 3jack forum thread - richie3jack.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=teacherfolder&action=display&thread=4090Tapio wrote-: " Kevin, with all the respect, I just had meeting with few guys here and we were talking about that issue. As they are guys who work in 3D industry (and golfers also) they all were shocked about what I said... and proved. Plane really creates an illusion that things are moving on it, but only from some projection and only in 2D. The worst case is that it's thought to be kind of shield in some angle. In reality it's not and nothing moves on it. It's bend, and also not linear." Of course it is only in 2-D and also only when perceived from a DTL viewing perspective - because that's how we perceive the swingplane concept. Also, the clubshaft does actually remain on that plane when the clubshaft is below waist level - eg. from P6 to P7.5 if the golfer traces a SPL. Look at this swing video lesson by Mike Bender, who is teaching Zach Johnson how to swing along a constant plane when he traces the straight plane line of the base of the inclined plane - using a plane board as a teaching aid. Look at this video lesson of Martin Hall teaching Morgan Pressel how to swing along a constant plane between P6 and P7.5. Jeff.
