Watch these two Chuck Quinton-produced videos. Video 1: Video 2: I find them to be "beyond belief" astonishing!!! I first came across CQ's golf instructional opinions during the Jim Hardy 1PS/2PS era when he echoed some of Hardy's opinions regarding the rotary motion of the pivot action. Then, CQ's opinions deviated slightly from a golf instructional perspective as a result of him introducing biomechanical ideas that he seemingly learned from Alison Tietje and which later was of relevance in the lawsuit initiated by CQ - see casetext.com/case/quinton-holdings-llc-v-axys-golf-llc.
Now, CQ has gone completely off the rails as he now promotes the "idea" of powering the golf swing via an active trail wrist/hand motion.
CQ claims that Tiger Woods has converted from a pivot-induced lead arm swinging action to an active trail arm throwing action that mainly involves motions happening at the level of his trail wrist/hand. CQ does not give any scientific/visual "evidence" to support his opinions. I cannot see any difference in the motion of TW's trail arm/wrist motions now - compared to the year-2000 era? Can you? He also claims that TW's trail wrist motions during the later downswing and through impact are active. How does he know whether they are active or passive? CQ also claims that the trail arm throw action is responsible for the majority of TW's swing power at the present time (2023). How is that possible? Does CQ have any scientific evidence that that a positive push-pressure is being exerted by the trail hand against the aft side of the club during the later downswing?
How can one explain why CQ has gone so deep down this particular golf instructional "rabbit hole"?
Jeff.

Hello, I find this topic to be very interesting. I was a long time member of CQ’s website. This new idea about the trail wrist/hand seems to be in total disagreement with his prior teachings. My personal opinion is that CQ went down this rabbit hole in an effort to get more subscribers/members to his website. In my opinion he feels he needs to come up with something “new” to create interest. I really find it super confusing as to what he actually believes about the swing, as it keeps changing.

You use the word "was" so I presume that you are no longer a member of CQ's website. Do you have any details on his "right arm swing" methodology as I would like to know why he believes that it is even possible for a golfer to perform a pro quality golf swing action using the trail arm/wrist. Jeff.

Unfortunately I don’t have any details on his right wrist/hand ideas. That came out as a 79 dollar add on to his regular website this fall. That is when I stopped being a member. Like the YouTube videos you referenced, this is supposed to be what the GOAT’s, (Greatest of all time), specifically Tiger are doing with their trail wrist and hand in the swing. I found it interesting that many of his previous videos implied that almost every swing fault can be traced to trying to push with the right, instead of a pulling from the left side. Golf is hard enough for me, I don’t feel like conflicting information would be helpful for me or anyone else who is looking to improve.
