Here is a comparisons of two golfers - Troy Matteson (S&T golfer) and Annika Sorenstam (traditional golfer).
Look at their pelvic motions, and in particular, consider what stresses the lumbar spine is being subjected to during their downswing/followthrough. I would be worried if I was Troy Matteson about what may happen to his lumbar spine over a period of 30-50 years. Note how he jumps-up at impact and lifts his left heel off the ground. That is taking B/P's "jumping-up" action through impact to extremes. Can you imagine how much he is jerking his lumbar spine with his assertive "butt-tuck" pelvic thrust maneuver combined with that "jumping-up" action through impact.
Jeff.
