aka The Good The Bad and The UGLY!
Part of the golfer's dilemma is deciding who or what to listen to. Me, I listen to everyone... but I discard almost all of it. I've yet to find a golf guru who speaks my language.
Take for instance the beliefs coming out of the marketing project 1.68... To my mind some of its good... very good in fact... but its not new... it was paid for and publish for all to read years ago. Marketing team 1.68 is late to that party. Some of its bad... this business of having a slack left arm and "tossing" by way of a horizontal move at the top should... well... be tossed. There no science I've seen that in anyway justifies that nonsense.
Consider another golf guru... David Lee. Athlete extrodinare Gabrielle Reese decided that he was her man (golf guru that is as she already has a man (the man as far as surfers are concerned www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYQQtxb8wv0) to get her into LPGA. Anyway David Lee sells a method called Gravity golf... Some of what he teaches is pure gold (the heave... with a leisurely transition and counter-fall accompanied by deadfalling hands to start the downswing). Yes yes.... absolutely yes. But then he says this: www.gravitygolf.com/massvsspeed.asp
What? that's pure unadulterated absolute garbage not backed up by any science known to man. All other factors being equal the higher clubhead speed will alway and I mean ALWAYS hit the ball further.
So whats the golfer to do? Is there anybody anywhere that gets is right? ... besides MA?
