cwdlaw223 amazingly doesn't know whether the clubhead travels in an arc or straight line through the immediate impact zone.
Jim K posted this video of Tiger Woods swing.
The video shows a slow-mo sequence of the clubhead moving through impact. cwdlaw2223 then wrote-: "In super slow mow it looks like a straight line coming into and through impact for about 6-12 inches. Just my guess."
It is obvious that he is guessing because the camera angle is roughly at 90 degrees to the forward direction of motion of the clubhead. How can one know if the clubhead is moving along a straight path (or along an arced path) if one doesn't have a DTL or upline video of the clubhead moving through impact? Any serious golfer who has studied golf swing videos knows that the clubhead motion is along an arc (of variable radius between different golfers) through the general impact zone - and it has to be if one understands basic golf swing mechanics.

In my simpleton mind, I don't care what the path shape is down there. #1 - I can't feel it in real time. #2 - I can't alter it. #3 - Why would I want to?"
He believes that he cannot alter the shape of the clubhead arc - and that's definite evidence of his being a golf simpleton. It is so obvious that a skilled golfer can vary the shape of the clubhead arc through the impact zone. How can he not know that simple fact?
cwdlaw223 also wrote-: "All I care about is impact at the point of maximum compression!!!!"
I regard that statement as being incoherent. Does any forum member understand that sentence?
cwdlaw223 wrote-: "I can beat down on the ball in a straight line or an arc. Why does hitting down prove an arc?"
How is it possible to hit down in a straight line? I can imagine the hands temporarily moving in a straight line between P6 and P7 - but how does one get the clubhead to move in a straight line (when the club is releasing and when PA#3 is being released and when there is a finite accumulator #3 angle present through impact)?
