What do people think of Martin Ayers? He's Martinez on WRX.

Great looking golf swing. Has some interesting ideas as well. Seems to lean a bit on what he's learned from S&T.

I think this is a very good drill and something I will be working on a lot in the next month. Not sure its an idea but the move he makes with his upper torso is a key concept my swing misses (among a few others).

Greg,
What upper torso move does he make in that action?
Jeff.

Greg, What upper torso move does he make in that action? Jeff. The lean with his shoulders rather than a slide of the legs, at least thats what I see.

Greg,
Hmm!
I don't see that upper body move. I only see his upper body moving left-laterally secondary to the fact that he buckles his knees towards the target.
Jeff.

3jack,
I cannot mentally relate to his crossbow concept.
I would much prefer to see him describe that same action using standard TGM/biomechanical terms.

I joined his online programme to check into his videos and more about his teaching and I am very pleasantly surprised. Bow to crossbow is really the tip of the iceberg in terms of his philosophy. I am very impressed. A person could not implement much of his swing from that video but it is start in understanding it.
Jeff, he will likely not use TGM terms to describe his action, as that is an unfair request and not everyone must adhere to TGM. He has some biomechanical knowledge but I don't think he wants to spend the time detailing it to the level that you would require. He will have a video out shortly in the same model that Geoff Magnum did. A SITD video, it will give a bit more about his method.
In regards to S&T as I have spend a great deal of time studying that I do not think they are too similar. For example he would rather not like the golfer to push the hips as forward as S&T prescribes. Although the bow move does have the appearance of S&T I think he has different intentions, like the back leg does not have to straighten. Certainly I am just an infant with Martin's stuff but that is my perception.
