What is your opinion on this 'throwing the club' drill that Shawn Clement advocates? Does it help promote a 'swinging action' with the release of PA4# using an active pivot and a DH hand release action?
I think this was a drill that was utilised by Fred Shoemaker many years ago.

I don't see any advantage on performing that club throwing motion drill with two arms and it is no better than Hogan's throw motion "idea" that he described in his book "Five Lessons". Ben Hogan taught a two handed basketball throw motion from the right side. What more do you need? Jeff.

Yes , that makes sense from a PA#4 release and DH perspective . I thought that a lead arm only throwing drill might also assist in the 'feel' of the 'swinging' release of PA#2 and train a golfer not to stall their upper body pivot.
What drill would you advocate for a golfer who prematurely stalls their upper body pivot?
