Hi all, New member that is intrigued by the level of knowledge I have read on this forum. Looking for some critique of my recent musings. Video one shows a range swing which I have self diagnosed as over the top, caused by hands moving out due to early torso rotation. youtube.com/shorts/BHZKDchMlG0?feature=shareVideo two is me using Justin Rose’s pump drill to ensure the hands and club come back down onto the shaft plane before they sling outwards. youtube.com/shorts/IZjpN0V3irA?feature=shareQuestion is: am I on the right track here? I appreciate any opinions. Johnny

I appreciate any opinions. Johnny Yes. In video 1, you are moving your upper torso too soon and the club is coming slightly OTT. In video 2, you are shallowing the clubshaft by using an active right arm adduction maneuver while starting your pivot action with a pelvic rotation. By the way, most pro golfers do not attempt to get their clubshaft back to the hand plane by P6 and their clubshaft is often closer to the elbow plane at impact. It is an optional choice - Ben Hogan, Lee Trevino and Sergio Garcia get back to the hand plane, but Adam Scott, Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson only get down to the elbow plane. Phil Mickelson hardly shallows his clubshaft between P4 => P7 and his clubshaft is fractionally below the TSP at impact.

Thank you so much, it is reassuring to know that I am looking at fixing this in the right way.
Although it is very hard to ingrain and not go back to the old tendency while out on the course!
